Amit Banerjee is a home-grown Dallas resident who serves as the Founder and CEO of Philanthropy Kids. Amit dedicates his time to thinking, learning, helping people, and helping people help people. He currently attends Southern Methodist University where he is majoring in Electrical Engineering. Amit spends much of his free time volunteering with various charities and nonprofits, especially those focused on addressing hunger, education, homelessness and domestic violence.
At Philanthropy Kids, Amit leads the executive board as CEO and as President of the PAVE program, Amit was a PAVE participant himself in 2007 and attributes it to be a big reason on why he is so passionate about philanthropy. Amit, working with his mentor and PAVE founder, Bob Hopkins, helped grow PAVE into an international program that helps teach kids about philanthropy, leadership, communication, and social entrepreneurship.
When he’s not volunteering, studying, or running Philanthropy Kids, Amit can be found watching movies or performing stand-up comedy.
